MALLEO, Melchiorre, age 87, of Garfield, died on June 29, 2013. He was born in Bolognetta Sicily, residing there for 46 years before moving to Garfield 41 years ago. He was employed by Marcal Paper Company in Elmwood Park as a shipping clerk for 23 years, retiring in 1995. He was a parishioner of Our Lady Of Mount Virgin RC Church, and a member of the St Anthony Society of Garfield. He is survived by his wife of 59 years the former Antonina Benanti, one daughter, Sara Fermo and husband Frank, three sons, Antonino and his wife Cira, Michele and his wife Giovanna, and Franco and his wife Vivian, and four sisters residing in Italy. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren. The funeral is Tuesday, July 2, 2013, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 9 am followed by a 10 am mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield. Entombment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook. Visiting Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Malleo family is in the care of the Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Ave., Garfield (973-340-7077).
