LaGRECA, Margaret (nee Mercadante), age 97, of Garfield, died on November 26, 2013. Born in Castronuovo, Sicily-Italy, she lived there for 6 years and Garfield for 91 years. She was a seamstress 35 years with the I.L.G.W.U. – Passaic Local 158 retiring in 1965, a parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, and a member of the Rosary Society and the Elmwood Park Seniors. She is predeceased by her husband James in 2006, a great-granddaughter Alicia Skiba in 2011, and her brothers, Joseph, Charles, William, and Frank Librera. She is survived by a son, James and his wife MaryLou, a daughter, Marilyn Skiba, a brother, Anthony Librera, two sisters, Josephine Cagno and Marie Caccavella, six grandchildren, Leonard and his wife Edi, Jeffrey and his wife Kathleen, Daniel and his wife JoAnn, Susan and her husband Kenneth, Cindy and her husband Sanjiv, and James, eight great-grandchildren, Daniel, Ashley, Julia, James, Samantha, Kaitlyn, Elizabeth, and Kaia, and a great-great-grandson Anthony. Visiting Friday 2-6 pm. The funeral is Saturday, November 30, 2013, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home 8 am followed by a 9 am mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Garfield. Private Cremation.
