RAMOS, Maria Dos Anjos Tavares, age 89, of Garfield, died on October 25, 2016. Born and raised in Fernao Joanes, Portugal, she emigrated to Lodi in 1968 settling in Garfield 47 years ago. She was a seamstress with Malcolm Clothing in Passaic for 30 years, she was a member of the I.L.G.W.U. – Passaic Local, and a parishioner of Mt. Virgin Church, Garfield. She is predeceased by her husband, Joaquim Ramos in 2002, and her son, Tony Ramos in 2013. Loving mother of Joseph (Mary) Ramos, Dulce (Aderito) Travelho, and Alcina (Keith) Farrington, dear mother-in-law of Roseann Koller, dear sister of Manuel (Anna) Tavares, Furtanato Tavares, and Garcinda Vandaro, beloved grandmother of John, Paul, Sandra, Shannon, T.J., Nicole, Keith, Justin, and ToniAnne, and great-grandmother of Mia, Brandon, Aiden, Antonio, and Natalia. Visiting Thursday 5 to 9 pm. The funeral is Friday, October 28, 2016, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 8:30 am followed by a 9:30 am mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield.
